The Elderly Brothers ...
came about in early 2008 when I was getting to be quite active on the music forum of kara-moon.com.
At that time I was still learning a lot about home studio computer based recording. I received a whole lot of technical advice from another member going by the name of Wyatt. One thing led to another and we decided to try a couple of collaborations which worked out rather well as we had similar musical backgrounds and influences.
It also turned out that Wyatt (real name Kevin Parks) and I were the same age, with only a week between us. This fact spurred us on to come up with the ‘recording name’ of The Elderly Brothers.
Most things we did were fun, with a smattering of serious. Kevin had a history of serious illness and in January 2010 he was diagnosed with cancer of the throat. He tried all sorts of alternative therapies but in April he lost his fight.
I promised that I would put this album together as a tribute and also as a lasting memorial to send to his wife, Louise.
He is such a huge miss to us all so here is the album for you to freely download along with a PDF brochure of track listing and various information of interest.
